A replica of "Spirit of American Youth Rising" by American sculptor Donald Harcourt De Lue. The original is a bronze at the Omaha Beach Memorial in France. This gilded replica was hoisted into place at "Waters of American at Brand," on May 1, 2008.

This large water feature is the focal point of the Americana at Brand complex of luxury residences and retail shops in Glendale, California. It was designed by the world renowned Wet Designs, and features choreographed water shows with over 130 jets.
The internationally celebrated sculptor, Donald Harcourt De Lue, oversaw the production of this replica of his original 1949 bronze creation "Spirit of American Youth Rising" using the original molds. A master gilder applied 22-karat gold leaf, making this replica a work of art in its own right, and a spectacular focal point of this water feature. It was dedicated on May 1, 2008.
