Animal Shelter for the town of Little Elm in Denton County, Texas. From the shelter's website:

Adoptable Pets

Dogs and cats that are available for adoption come from a variety of sources. Most are strays that are picked up by animal control. Of these, many have simply wandered away from home or are otherwise lost. Owners looking to be reunited with their pets should check here often, or visit the shelter, to locate them.

Others come from homes that can no longer properly care for the animal. Responsible owners voluntarily gives them up for adoption.

Adoption fees are $10.00 and you have 30 days or 6 months depending on the age of the animal to have the animal sterilized and a rabies vaccination done (per state law all animals adopted from an animal shelter are required to be sterilized and vaccinated against rabies).

You MUST show us proof within the date given or criminal charges WILL BE FILED.

We do NOT hold or reserve any animal for any reason. We adopt on a first come first serve basis.

All stray animals brought in are held for 3 days before being placed for adoption. NO EXCEPTIONS

Monday adoptions are done by appointment only. First appointment starts at 8:00. You must view the animal prior to making the appointment.
