Long Description:Located in the heart of San Francisco's financial district, this
building was known as the Bank of America Center until 2005. From
1969-1972 it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi. It
is now the second tallest building in San Francisco and the fifth
tallest building on the west coast of the United States. Its design
with thousands of bay windows affords great views from everywhere
inside.
The Building served as the location for the entrance area scenes
of the 1974 film "The Towering Inferno", starring Paul Newman.
