Smokey the Bear stands guard here at the entrance to Cataract Fall State Recreation Area. Within the the Recreation Area, visitors are treated to two beautiful waterfalls, the tallest in Indiana. Also here is the only covered bridge in Owens County, Indiana. The covered bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
Throughout the Recreation Area, you will find a heavely forested area. Between the forest, falls and historic bridge, Smokey the Bear will hopefully ward off any dangers from the area.
