Kalispell is conveniently located close to Glacier National Park and a number of forest wilderness areas. It is 9 miles from Flathead Lake, which offers swimming, boating, fishing, and kayaking. There are also lots of trails in the area for walking, biking, or horse-back riding.
Kalispell is also the county seat of Flathead County.
