The 90,000+ seat Rose Bowl stadium was built in 1922. The stadium has hosted numerous events from UCLA Bruins football games, the annual Rose Bowl game, 1984 Olympic Soccer matches.

In addition to these events the Rose Bowl was the venue for preliminary rounds in the 1994 Men's World Cup and the final match between Brazil and Italy, which Brazil won on penalty kicks 3-2, after the time ended in a 0-0 tie.

The Rose Bowl also hosted preliminary rounds in the 1999 Women's World Cup and the final match between United States and China, which United States won 5-4 on penalty kicks after the time ended in a 0-0 tie.
