Fine Stick/Eastlake, Queen Anne styled home, located on a residential street in Franklinton. Home and grounds appeared to be in perfect condition. According to realtor, home was completely updated in 1998. I did not go in home, but did walk around. Not much historical information found, so here is a little from the register application, located here. Constructed in 1906, the Greenlaw House is a one-and-one-half story frame residence in the
Queen Anne Revival style. Located in the Washington Parish seat of Franklinton, it stands within a
historic neighborhood across the street from the town’s 1938 high school..... The house was built in 1906 by Edward Runnels Greenlaw (a businessman with interests in
sawmills and railroads) for his parents, Captain Lawrence Dade Greenlaw and Dora Runnels Greenlaw.
Captain Greenlaw was a Civil War veteran; Mrs. Greenlaw founded the Baptist Missionary Society of
Washington Parish and published three books of poetry.
