Heading southbound on Highway 285, along the edge of the Four-Mile Recreation Area, located in the San Isabel National Forest, Smokey reminds us to watch for fires.
The entrance at which this Smokey stands is a private entrance, and there is only a little room to pull over for a visit. They have even placed a "No Parking" sign here...guess they don't want Smokey to have visitors. Your best bet is to do what we did...park on the shoulder just in front of the sign. Be careful, Highway 285 can get quite busy.
