This benchmark is mounted into the top of a rock outcropping off of the Appalachian Trail on an unmaintained side trail through a rhododendron thicket to Blackstack Cliffs. See the gallery picture for the great overlook view from the cliff at roughly 4600' elevation in the Bald Mountains. The disk face is fairly cut up from abuse.
