The best known of Vermont's founding fathers, Ethan Allen built this home in the rich farmland of Burlington's Intervale and lived here with his wife, Fanny, for the last two years of his life (1787-1789).
Today, there are community gardens, nature trails, picnic areas and a replica of the tavern in which Allen and the Green Mountain Boys discussed Vermont's independence.
