Ladder 1 a 1997 Sutphen 1750 gallon per minute combination pumper/ladder truck. It is housed at the North Station on North Main Street in Laurinburg, NC. It has been used at a high profile fire in Maxton, NC as mutual-aid response at at least once since purchased. The truck has increased the ability of the local department to better answer calls in a more safe and efficient manner. With this truck, firemen are able to reach greater heights and pump greater volumes of water. This truck is actually the second ladder truck for this department. The first was purchased from the Alexandria Fire Department in Virginia. It was declared surplus property several years ago and sold.
