On the campus in front of the gymnasium, this statue has a plaque that records the history. "Old Mose", according to April 2004 Outdoor Life Magazine, was the most famous grizzly in their publication, and the most dreaded in the U.S. He was killed in 1904, and weighed 1300 pounds. This statue is a bit bigger than lifesize... as a matter of fact, the statue shows up in the satellite image, it's that large!
