Blue Streak - Cedar Point, OH - Roller Coasters on Waymarking.com

Blue Streak was designed by Frank Hoover and the famous John Allen. It opened in 1964 and was Cedar Point's first roller coaster built at the park in nearly two decades. It is named in honor of the local Sandusky High School's athletic teams. This mid-sized coaster provides a much wilder ride than meets the eye!

It has a traditional out-and-back layout that has an initial 72 ft. drop. Nine more drops, plenty of airtime, and a tight turnaround follow before a quick stop into the brakes. Its two trains, brakes, and computer system were all updated in the 1990's but the ride still maintains its nostalgic feel today. It's located behind Raptor and the lines are usually shorter later in the day.
