This hatchery receives provincial funding as well as federal, and is also financed by the North Vancouver Island Salmon Enhancement Associatin. Funds are raised through the running of Quatse River Campground, and all firewood donations at the campground go straight to the fish.
They are in the process of building an interpretive centre with provincial assistance.
Tours are not scheduled, but any of the employees or volunteers are happy to show you around and answer questions.
