A granite post marking one point on the boundary line between the towns of Hamilton and Ipswich, Massachusetts
Waymark Code: WM6X82
Location: Massachusetts, United States
Date Posted: 07/31/2009

This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Ipswich. The letter "H" (for Hamilton) is inscribed on one side, and the letter "I" (for Ipswich) is on the opposite side. Portions of the characteristic paint band around the top can be seen. The marker is leaning slightly from vertical.
It is located on the bank on the north side of Waldingfield Road about 0.1 mile northwest of the intersection with Goodhue Street, and just opposite the driveway to a private residence.
The two adjacent survey markers are H-I10,
less than 1/4 mile to the south, and H-I11, about 0.1 mile to the north.
