This small water tower lies in the green parkland behind the lower school in Ridgmont village.

The tower is a grey, reinforced-concrete design with a hatch noticeable at the top. It can be seen from the churchyard, main road and side road in the village.
It was built in about 1913 by C. Balfour & Sons, who were civil engineers, for the Duke of Bedford. It is Grade II Listed from 19th April 1993.
