Despite the less than fearsome name, the Highlands Bluebirds are one of the more feared teams in the Kentucky commonwealth. With 19 state titles since the KHSAA began its playoff system in 1959, the 'Birds are always considered a threat once the playoffs begin. Like many older in-town stadiums, Cecil Stadium is landlocked, cozy, and not the easiest place to park. Most fans just consider the walk from the car as a part of their exercise program some Friday nights in the fall.
