If you're just passing by, you might glance at the sign, notice the name of the park and say to yourself, "That it is." A little triangle of land with grass and a couple of benches.
Historically, this was the intersection of three streets, but that was torn up some years ago and replaced by this little park, making for a very nice "front yard" for the houses to the west.
Let's take it a step further, though. The name isn't a reflection of size, but for George and Elaine Little, major proponents of park spaces in Burlington. Then again, maybe someone with a sense of humor chose to name this little park after the Littles as a play on words.
George and his father founded George Little Press, which for nearly fifty years produced commercial photo offset lithography specializing in full color folders, booklets, and brochures for businesses, schools, colleges and various branches of government. George was also a member of the Vermont House of Representatives (1968-1977).
