NJDC&D 5291, New Jersey, is a New Jersey Department of Conservation and Development survey disk (geodetic control survey station) located in the south angle of the intersection of a service road that runs on the southeast side of and parallel to Long Beach Blvd and 9th Street in the Borough of Surf City on Long Beach Island, Ocean County, NJ. The station is mounted flush with the surface between the curb and the sidewalk, 41.3 feet northeast from wood utility pole number P5399, about 20 feet south-southwest of the centerline of 9th Street, 16.7 feet southwest from a fire hydrant, 14.4 feet northwest from the northwest corner of Surf City Liquors at 810 Long Beach Blvd, and 1.3 feet southeast from the southeast curb of the service road. The disk was monumented by the New Jersey Department of Conservation & Development in 1937 and documented for inclusion in the National Spatial Reference System by the New Jersey Geodetic Survey in 2001. It is stamped 5291 and is in the National Geodetic Survey database at PID = AM6904 (visit link) . To reach the station from the Garden State Parkway, take Exit 63 to State Highway 72 eastbound. Go southeast on State Highway 72 for about 7.1 miles to its T-intersection with Long Beach Blvd in the town of Ship Bottom on Long Beach Island. Turn left and go northeast on Long Beach Blvd for about 0.94 miles to the Surf City Borough Hall on the left and the intersection with 9th Street. Turn right onto 9th Street and turn right again immediately to the parking spots on the northwest side of the service road. Park and walk northeast to the south intersection of the service road and 9th Street, and the station.
