This big center have info on Mono Lake and the surrounding area. It's located on highway 395 just outside of Lee Vining.

There is a lot to do and see at this center. There is a 20 minute video, interactive displays, and a bookstore. There are signs and information plaques all over the place. There are trails that lead from the center to Mono Lake. This is a great place to stop and stretch the legs.
Off Road Directions:
No pic. Today was second visit. Were here on the 8th and tried to watch the film, but the projector was out of order. So, went back on the 9th. They started the film, but alas, the projector died again. The tall, lean ranger, glasses & grey hair, said the projector was 25 yrs old. We put money in the donation box so maybe they can buy a new one. The center displays are very, very nice. The chanting music next to the dwelling got a bit annoying after a while.
