Originally, the library was located on the corner of Atkinson and West Church streets next to the First United Methodist Church. Needing space for growth, a new building was constructed 2 block west of the old library site. With the new library came expanded shelving for books, newspapers, magazines, more spacious study/reading areas, and of course with time computers for internet access. The library has a meeting room used for civic interest and library educational programs. There is a a memorial room for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country and a local history collection. We are fortunate to have this fine facility for our use. Staff are well trained and ready to assist you with any need in the library. Available to all who enter are many reading books for check out, up to date reference books, current magazines of many areas of interest, and newspapers from a variety of locales
