NJGS 5 B 2 is a New Jersey Geodetic Survey survey disk (geodetic control survey station) mounted flush with the surface of a concrete pad that serves as a base for a flagpole on an earth-filled wharf extension near the Tuckahoe Inn in the Beeseley’s Point section of Upper Township, Cape May County, NJ. The station is about 480 feet northeast of the centerline of Harbor Road, and 5.6 feet south of the flagpole. The disk was monumented by the New Jersey Geodetic Survey in 2000, and is stamped 5 B 2 2000. It is in the National Geodetic Survey database at PID = AM6983 (
visit link) . To reach the station from the Garden State Parkway, take Exit 25 to County Road 623 (Roosevelt Blvd) westbound. Go northwest on County Road 623 for about 0.30 miles to the intersection with US Highway 9. Turn right and go northeast on US Highway 9 for about 1.85 miles to Harbor Road on the right, immediately before reaching the Tuckahoe Inn (note, there is no approach from the north as the US Highway 9 bridge over Great Egg Harbor Bay is closed). Turn right on Harbor Road and go southeast for about 325 feet to the parking lot for Christopher A Construction on the left. Park in the lot and get permission in the office to continue northeast through the gate. With permission to enter private property, walk northeast 400 feet to the wharf extension, the flagpole and the disk. Recovery of this station first logged at the Geocaching datasheet for NJHA station BAY 1, PID = JU4425.
