Adjacent and parallel to I-89, and at times seeming just as busy.
Approximately 325 feet.
It is interesting that the bridge's alternate name is derived from a nearby former farmhouse known as "Checkered House" because of its red and white brick pattern. Now a restaurant, it dates back to colonial times, far older than the bridge. The bridge is NRHP, but the building isn't.
