Long Description:
It was founded 1876. After a phase of constant expansion the brewery was taken over by the Danish based Carlsberg group in 2000. Every third bottle of Swiss beer is brewed here using several brand names. The brewery can be visited. For special occasions there is even a company owned visitor's steam train from the railway station to the brewery area.
