The landmark commission wouldn't let them tear down the historic mansion they purchased, so they restored the outside and converted the inside to a fast food restaurant.
There are two floors here, and the second floor is closed off to the public. I can only imagine the history of this place, and you almost wouldn't know it was a McDonald's now, except for the sign in front.
This is probably the fanciest McDonald's I have ever seen.
Of course the food is the same - it's McDonald's fast food, after all... But it just feels fancier when you dine here.
