The Somerville Tract Forest is designated as a cross country ski trail in the winter. It is situated alongside the Altberg Nature Reserve. There is no snowmobiling in this forest, plenty of wildlife, and a real sense of adventure. These are wilderness trails with very few facilities. The Ganaraska Hiking Trail also goes through this forest for year round access. There are multiple trails for every level of skill. Trails are not groomed.
