The Ledger Independent is the hometown newpaper of Maysville, KY and the surrounding area. The paper was formed in 1968 after the two local papers, the Public Ledger and The Daily Independent were bought by the Gadsden Times Publishing Corporation.
The headquarters was moved to it's current location in 2004.
The paper has an online version, and the print version is still going.
