Not finding much information about this two-story brick house. Henry Hoss was the Washington County court clerk during 1856-60. In January 1864, he was authorized by the county to purchase $4,500 of salt (which now would be equivalent to $60,000) to have available for curing meat for the army and home use (from "Jonesborough" by Paul M. Fink).

The place is now a bed and breakfast with a mystery theatre (visit link)
