"DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1952 AT SAN FRANCISCO. AT SAN FRANCISCO, ABOUT MIDWAY BETWEEN UNION AND FILBERT STREETS, IN THE TOP OF AN INSCRIBED GRANITE MONUMENT ON THE EAST SIDE OF WASHINGTON SQUARE, 41.0 FEET WEST OF THE WEST CURB OF STOCKTON STREET, AND 3.0 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND."
