These old slate buildings reside high up on the mountainside above Llanberis.

Once occupied by the mine workers these buildings form part of the mine workings around Dinorwig which is now a power station. The old quarries can be seen all around and the slate gleams in the mist. The large winch house was once used to transport slate along the steep slope. The cable can still be seen hanging from the vast cog.
