A wood sculpture of Reverend William Aitken(1834-1913), Minister of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Maple from 1865 to 1880, and father of Maxwell Aitken who later became Lord Beaverbrook.

This was carved from a tree that grew on the church grounds at the time Reverend Aitken served there. The tree suffered damage in a storm and the remaining trunk was used for this sculpture.
