George Washington Bridge - Suspension Bridges on Waymarking.com

The George Washington Bridge is a wonder of the modern world. Interstate 80 and 95, US routes 1 and 9, NJ route 46, and the Cross Bronx Expressway funnel into an upper level with four lanes in each direction and a lower level with three lanes in each direction, for a total of 14 lanes of travel across the Hudson River making this the most traveled motor vehicle bridge in the world. There are also two pedestrian walkways on each side of the bridge providing the only free way to leave New Jersey.
