Long Description:De kannonnen zijn in 1907 naast de sokkel van Michiel de Ruyter
geplaatst. Ze zijn destijds uit de Straat van Messina bij Sicilie
opgevist en door de Italiaanse regering aan Vlissingen geschonken.
De kanonnen zijn afkomstig van een van de schepen van de befaamde
Zeeuwse admiraal.
