Hamilton-Topsfield 11 (H-T11) - Public Land Survey Marks on Waymarking.com

This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in this area, in this case, the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Topsfield. The markers generally are located where the town line turns at an angle, although in some cases they occur at intermediate points in long straight runs.

This marker is located between Asbury street and the Ipswich River. The nearest adjacent markers are Hamilton-Topsfield #11 (WM6PAH), about 0.1 mile east and Hamilton-Topsfield 12 WM (H-T12 WM), about 0.2 mile SW.

The letter "H" (for Hamilton) and the letter "T" (for Topsfield) are on opposite sides. This marker is approximately eight inches square, and about three feet tall.

The field is in Topsfield, and the stone wall runs along the town line. There is a large boulder about ten feet away, on the Hamilton side.
