The gun is a standard deck- mounted 5"/51 caliber anti-aircraft gun of the the typically mounted on the USS Arizona and other ships in the United States Navy. Thae actual guns were removed from the USS Arizona after she was sunk, and were used as coastal artllery throughout the war.
There is a huge WW I memorial in the foreground. Across from this memorial is an anchor, also (probably) part of this memorial and a tribute to the Arizona. Both are painted white. They are all very close to the road and can easily be seen when walking or driving. Access is from sunup to sundown, unofficially, people hang out here all the time. These three pieces are the centerpiece of this park. There is not cost to visit and parking can be found at various metered locations which surround the park.
There is a dedication stone and plaque in front of the artillery piece. it reads:
In Dedication and remembrance to the U.S. Navy Seamen who gave their lives aboard the U.S.S. Arizona at Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941.
