The caboose came to this spot when the owners of Oakton Junction shopping center bought it from the Chicago & Northwestern Railway and had it moved from Minneapolis. It cost $1,000 in 1987. The shopping area was torn down a couple of years ago. The land is now owned by Moran Transportation, a trucking cross docking firm.
Located at Badger & Oakton Roads.
Current Use:
former advertising sign for shopping center, now closed
