This monument marks the Massachusetts-Connecticut border where it crosses the Southern New England Trunk Line Trail. It is located about 50' off the SNETT trail in the Douglas State Forest. Interestingly, there is a gate across the trail near this point as if to keep the citizens of each state out of the other.
