"This stately Colonial Revival-style mansion, built in 1903 by
Walnut Creek pioneer, Hiram Penniman,retains many of its original
furnishings. Once the centerpiece of the large Shadelands Ranch,
this museum now houses regional artifacts and documents and offers
group tours and a living history program for elementary school
children."
