Granite, 16-foot-long monument, has two horizontal slabs hinged by a hand-carved eagle at the center, located at the corner of Irving & Narragansett. Inscriptions plus 8 seals for branches of service decorate the monument.

Built by Gast Monuments, the new monument also accompanied a community effort to beautify the surrounding park. Landscaping, walkways, benches and trees were also installed.
