Located along the narrow, winding roads, but with no pot-holes, above Betws-y-Coed, this mine has a large parking area and information board. There is also a commentary you can listen to from a brave Welsh mine worker.
Lead ore was extracted from this mine and the shaft in the car park area remains open but blocked with a fence around it. From this place you can look down on the remains of the mine buildings and put them together in relation to the drawing on the information board.

The Engine Shaft is also blocked whereas the 120’ deep Western Shaft is open but capped. Workings were along the Cyffty and Principal lodes, the later which was also worked at Parc. Parc was connected to Cyffty during it’s final years.'
