The Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games is held on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington. It's been an annual event since 1987.

The Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games are held on the first weekend of June. Attendance regularly exceeds 50,000.
Activities and Events include:
Highland Games at Professional, Amateur, and Novice levels, as well as
Scottish Highland Dance and Scottish National Dance competitions.
There's lots of music: Music for entertainment (both international bands and bands from Texas), and also Solo Bagpipe and Bagpipe Band competitions. There's a Scotch Whisky Tasting and a Seminar about Scotch. Othe seminars include Genealogy, History, and Gaelic Language
Other Competitions include Shortbread, Scotch Ale Brewing, and Bonniest Knees, and there's a Photo Contest.
Of course there's a Gathering of the Clans and there's a children's area featuring things like a climbing wall.
