"In 1889, Edward Churchill built his 10,000 square foot home near the banks of the Napa River. The architectural style is Second Empire, suitable for the family of a prominent banker and owner of both a brewery and winery, the Golden Ribbon Beer Brewery in Napa and the Tokalon Vineyard near Rutherford.

In the early 20th Century, the house was enhanced with a verandah in the then fashionable Greek Revival style.

The house remained in the Churchill family until 1956, and today it is a Bed and Breakfast Inn." (visit link)
