Shuford Memorial Elementary School
Named February 1, 1965 in honor of Clarence Jay Shuford, Jr, principal 1961 - 1965.
Formally known as Granite Quarry Colored School. Constructed in 1933 by Volunteer Community Labor, and Relief Labor funds with granite being donated by Harris Granite Quarry, and dedicated January 30, 1934.
The school building is now being used by Greatful Heart Ministries.
