This Natural and Regional monument is located in Ribeira Grande and it is part of a very important bio-reservation. Its very unique climate stimulated the growth of a mingling of natural vegetation and exotic plants, giving the visitor a sense of being in the Jurassic Period.

Its irregular terrain deeply insert in the mountain of Pico do Fogo, is smoothly cut by a warm stream creating small natural pools where people may take a long and nice bath as it has been for centuries.
