The German Coast of Louisiana is mainly in St. Charles Parish, but also St. John the Baptist Parish and St. James Parish. on both sides of the Mississippi River. Louisiana does not have "Counties" we instead have civil "Parishes". Basically the same just due to heavy Catholic influence the areas were divided by religion, not government.
