This mid-peninsula view point is at the east end of the
College of San Mateo
near a large parking lot. The elevation here is 550 feet or 168 meters.
The view is looking east towards the San Francisco Bay. The cities of San Mateo and Foster City are in the foreground. The curving San Mateo Bridge, with its 135 foot arch for boat traffic, stretches for 7 miles across the bay. This is the longest bridge in the San Francisco Bay Area. Visible on the east side of the bay is the city of Hayward.
