The Plaque is surounded by contemplation benches which overlook the Medal of Honor Recipients Plaque. Looking past you can see 21 aircraft and missles on display on the museum grounds.
The names on the plaque encompass Air Force Medal of Honor recipients from 2001 all the way back to the Vietnam Conflict. There are 261 names of Air Force recipients, with the greatest number of recipients identified in World War II.
