Urambi Hill Trig 713m
Urambi Hill is the highest point of the Urambi Hills nature reserve. The nature reserve is flanked on the north and eastern side by the suburb of Kambah. On the southern and western sides is the Bullen range nature reserve and the Murrumbidgee river.
This position makes for great views of Tuggeranong and the surrounding nature reserves.
Access can be gained to the reserve by parking at the intersection of Athlon Drive and Learmonth Drive. From the car park follow the trails up.
Once at the top of the hill look for the old kurrajong trees. A perfect place to sit under on a hot day. There is even a conveniently placed seat to take advantage of the shade.
Another kurrajong tree is on the nearby peak to the north. These were planted to provide fodder for hungry stock as the land was once used for grazing of sheep and cattle.
Dogs are permitted on the Urambi Hills nature reserve but must be controlled by a lead at all times.
