Located on the waterfront of Seattle in Aquarium Waterfront Park at Alaskan Way & Union Street near the Seattle Aquarium. This monument to Christopher Columbus was crafted by artist Douglas Bennet in 1978 and was cast in bronze.

The first plaque reads:
"Presented to the people of Seattle in 1978 by the Italian American Community. Memorial to CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS In the Spirit of all voyagers on the unknown Sea is dedicated this symbol of the discoverer
of America. Sculptor Douglas Bennet."

The second plaque reads:
"To Honor JOHN R. DiJULIO For his contributions to the Italian Community and the City of Seattle By the Italian American Community
1998."

After being repeatedly vandalized, especially around Columbus Day, the statue was removed by the city in 2013.
