The rest stop between Laramie and Cheyenne has a 43 foot tall monument to Lincoln, and a smaller monument to H.B.Joy. Lincoln's head was built by Wyoming's Parks Commission to honor Lincoln's 150th birthday. It was sculpted by Robert Russin, a University of Wyoming art professor and a Lincoln fan. The granite pedestal can't be missed while driving on the I-80 either east- or west-bound.
